VENUE AND FESTIVAL MANAGEMENT
CACC helps boards, city counsils, and the staff of arts organisations develop concert halls, theatres, and other public venues, as well as city celebrations and festivals.
Both venues and festivals play important roles in the effort to brand regions and cities. Venues provide year-round programming, and festivals provide highlights. Both attract audiences from near and far in a spirit of joy, pride, and enthusiasm.
CACC has in-depth knowledge of what professional venue and festival management entails. We provide research information and feasibility studies to support the political process leading to decisions about establishment of new venues and festivals. In the planning phase of venues, we work with architects to ensure that buildings meet the demands of artists, promoters and audiences, and that they will be able to operate cost effectively once opened. To festivals, we provide advice on site lay-out, location of services, decorations, programming and other.
Prior to the opening of a new building or the launch of a new festival, CACC provides strategies and practical services to help establish expectations and build an audience brand. We help established venues and festivals develop and implement long-term marketing and branding strategies, provide training to venue and festival staff and board, and advice on ticketing, audience development, and artistic programming.
EVENT- AND TOUR MANAGEMENT
CACC acts as artistic producer, promoter and/or provider of logistical services on a project basis. In this context, we provide international tour management services to promoters and artists. We also provide logistics, production and/or artistic programming services to one-time corporate events and public arts festivals.
EDUCATION
An arts organisation's ability to work succesfully with people from other cultures is considerably more difficult than it appears. True interculturalism is not just a matter of occasionally presenting a foreign artist in a season programme. As the general exchange of artists increases, a more comprehensive knowledge of the assumptions and values present in foreign cultures is a necessity. Moreover, to successfully play a role in today's multicultural environment, arts institutions must also know how to target potential audiences amongst local subcultures, and engage and integrate diverse cultures on staff and as volunteers.
CACC provides throught-provoking and inspiring intercultural training courses to arts institutions, and to national and international organisations active in the arts sector.
CACC founder and owner Allan Xenius Grige also lectures and holds workshops related to institutionalised Arts Management. Subjects include arts branding and marketing, artistic planning, organisation, and the relationship between the arts and tourism, city branding, and urban regeneration.
